Been a good day so far from a mood perspective. I could use a few more things for sure, but right now it's just so nice to walk into a closet that has more than a week's worth of clothes that are cute and actually fit (and were all still smalls or mediums!). Off to Motherhood we went (with a few coupons scored from my friend at work who is two weeks behind me), to acquire about half of a wardrobe. I managed to keep wearing my little sweaters until last week, when the Sprout-house popped out fully. Not surprisingly, I'd been in demi-band maternity pants since about 13 weeks, but Sprout resides almost exclusively in my lower half. I finally had to break down and buy maternity shirts.
Mom boldly declared after we told her everything was fine that she could go to bed now because "her Jack" was ok.
I'm carrying low (where ELSE would I put this kid? I have no torso!) so they recommended a belly support band from here on out. Luckily my doctor, who I love, was on call, poked around a bit, and declared everything ok. It didn't feel like the normal growing pains and I was really queasy, so we headed to Labor and Delivery (as one of my practice's OBs is always on call). We had a little scare on Saturday - I was having really weird tearing pains across the lower part of my belly, from hip bone to hip bone, making a weird little smiley face of pain. Augustine (where I have a handful of coupons!) for a few more things. We'll hit up the Carter's outlet this weekend in St. We've gone into "planning for a boy" mode, and did a little consignment shopping this past weekend. Sounds pretty good together, it's all easy to spell, and if we only have one child, well, we've pleased both families! I also think this little man will be extremely ornery and as my Mom put it, mischievous, so Jack seems like the perfect name. Jack is my dad's first name (and his dad's too), and McLendon is John's mother's maiden name. Now we know our Sprout is actually Jack McLendon Moore, although he still gets called Sprout most of the time around our house. We found out this past Friday that we're having a boy. Been a little busy around the Moore household lately.
